The best vets and service around. I have been to a few other vets in Grand Rapids, and Blue Lake is a step above.

I neglected to take pictures of the building at the office as I was in a hurry, but I see there are plenty of them online. We chose this veterinarian because they care for rabbits, and my daughter’s rabbit, Pebbles, needed to be neutered. We had a consultation with them and then scheduled the surgery. Surgery is now complete, and Pebbles is recovering. The staff and doctors were very professional, took time to answer our questions, great communication, after care instructions were concise. We only paid like $160 for the service; that is very cheap from my perspective. If they were closer, we would start taking our two dogs to them, but this is a 50-minute drive for us. Rumor has it that this is also Scooby-Doo’s preferred veterinarian.

Dr. Will & Ella couldn’t have been more kind, professional, and compassionate in the hard decision we had today to let go of our precious TinkerBell, who was very, very ill and older in age. Dr. Will and Dr. Heather have been my vet for years and have taken the absolute best care of my dogs. The staff is personable, friendly, and happy to help answer any and all questions I have. Additionally, Dr. Will and Dr. Heather have made themselves available multiple times at a moment’s notice when my gut has told me something isn’t right with one of my dogs. One of my dogs ate a pile of yarn and needed emergency surgery to remove the obstruction. Dr. Will and Dr. Heather made time for surgery to remove the blockage, and she recovered fully. Additionally, when my 9-month-old puppy needed surgery for eating rocks (Berners like to eat things they shouldn’t…), they once again stepped up and saved her life. I am forever grateful for the wonderful care they have provided all of my dogs throughout the years. I won’t take my pets anywhere else.

I went in with a lethargic dog in my arms and tears in my eyes. I did not know what was wrong as he had taken a turn overnight. They immediately started running tests and taking X-rays to see what was going on. After they ran tests and even during them, Dr. Will checked in on us and explained things as they did them. I cannot thank him enough for his time, energy, and knowledge. A week later, my dog is back to normal thanks to the advice and meds I was given. I imagined the worst-case scenario but came out with answers. They have truly made this practice better than before. My dog and I thank you for going above and beyond for us. If anyone needs a vet, I cannot recommend them enough.

Very thankful for the care and service provided to our pets by the Blue Lake Animal Hospital team. They have always treated us with kindness, compassion, and expertise. Their pricing is more than fair, even on prescription food, which we are so appreciative of. Special shout-out to Dr. Will. We have had a couple bouts of challenging medical situations with my cat, which has been very hard financially and emotionally. Every time we see Dr. Will he is so helpful, informative, and supportive. I leave the appointments feeling like I have a friend on my side to navigate what is going on, which makes all the difference when you are worried about your loved pet. I cannot say enough good things about this veterinary clinic! They were able to squeeze my cat in on very short notice when he suddenly started having urinary accidents, and I was so stressed trying to figure out what was going on. The entire team was kind, calm, and incredibly thorough.

Our vet took the time to examine him carefully, explain exactly why the problem was happening, and walk me through the plan in a way that made total sense. I left feeling informed, reassured, and genuinely cared for.

I’m so grateful for their responsiveness, compassion, and expertise. We will absolutely continue trusting them with our pets’ care. Highly, highly recommend! 💛🐾

Love this place for our American Bully. Dr. Heather and her team were absolutely amazing. We drove almost two hours to take our girl to see them numerous times. They performed reverse progesterone testing, and they also did the C-section for us. So many great things to say about this place. So thankful for them and helping us through the entire process. She helped with the birth of our bully, and now she helped with the birth of our puppies.

Such an amazing place. I brought one of my pet rats here around a few years ago for an external tumor removal. They did such a great job and were very informative and caring.

Fast forward to now and I had another sick little guy that needed some fast attention and to no surprise they took care of him as well.

I wish I remember everyone’s names but you girls (and guy) know who you are. Thank you so very much for being so caring and supportive. It’s helpful in these times of stress.

I highly HIGHLY recommend bringing your cat, dog or pocket animal here.
