Urgent Care

Unfortunately, emergencies can happen. While we all do our best to prevent an accident, being prepared to react quickly is important if a sudden injury or illness happens. We value our clients and want to provide them with the highest standard of care. If an accident, injury, or illness happens during our business hours, call us at 616-554-0400 right away and inform whoever answers that it is an emergency. Our staff will consult a doctor and advise you on the best way to help your pet and navigate the situation. We can advise on what you can immediately do for your pet to help them and how you can get them safely to the clinic or an emergency hospital for care. Some emergencies are best treated at an emergency hospital, and we can help direct you to the best place of treatment for your pet.

Emergency Situations:

  • Bleeding that does not stop with gentle pressure after 5-10 minutes
  • Vomiting and cannot keep any food or water down
  • Straining to urinate or defecate
  • Blood in urine, rectum, mouth, coughing up blood

  • Injury or trauma to the eyes
  • Seizures or convulsions that do not stop after 10-15 minutes
