Grand Rapids Veterinarian

Grand Rapids, Michigan boasts a population of about 200,000, many of whom are pet owners. In addition to great trails for walks, access to pet stores where one can find food and toys, and the time and attention it takes to provide great pet care, a pet owner also needs a great Grand Rapids veterinarian. At Blue Lake Animal Hospital, we offer compassionate veterinary services that are patient-focused and results-driven. To make your first appointment with our Grand Rapids veterinarian, call our office directly today or send us a message to request more information. We are accepting new patients.

Our Veterinary Services for Grand Rapids Clients

We offer comprehensive veterinary services for our Grand Rapids clients. Whether you need to establish patient care for the first time or your pet needs a surgery or another intensive form of care, we can help.

  • Surgical services. We offer surgical services for pets, including reproductive surgeries such as spays and neuters, as well as orthopedic surgeries. If there are any surgeries that we cannot perform in our office, we can refer you to the best surgeon for the job.
  • New patient services. When a person is getting a new pet or bringing a pet into our office for the first time, it’s important that we do a visit that is focused on establishing care and building a relationship with the pet. During a new patient visit, we’ll take time to get to know your pet, as well as collect basic baseline data so that we understand their health needs moving forward.
  • Diagnostic services. When your pet isn’t feeling their best, it’s important to bring them into our office where we can determine the root of the problem. We are able to perform a range of diagnostic testing services, including imaging services, blood testing, and urinalysis.
  • Preventative care. The most important type of care that a veterinarian and a pet owner can provide to a pet is preventative care. Preventative care is focused on preventing health problems before they happen. Types of preventative care that we specialize in include nutrition counseling, flea and tick prevention, vaccinations, heartworm prevention, dental care, and more.
