Veterinary Technician
Blue Lake Animal Hospital is seeking full-time veterinary assistants or veterinary technicians to join our fast-paced suburban West Michigan practice. We are a private, family-owned practice with three Doctors who service small animal pets of all kinds—dogs, cats, rabbits, pocket pets, and exotic patients. We are a rapidly growing practice with excellent client rapport that seeks to have the very best medical practices to care for our patients. Our staff is highly professional and works hard to bring our family feel to our clients and patients.
Grand Rapids is a rapidly developing city roughly 30 minutes from our amazing west Michigan beaches. Our city is famously called “beer city” and is known for our walkable streets with bars, restaurants, arenas, soccer stadiums, and much more. Our city is lively, friendly, and retains that small town west Michigan feel.
Veterinary Technicians/Assistants will be responsible for, including but not limited to: assisting with wellness visits, veterinary diagnostic testing, client education, anesthesiology, and opening and closing duties, and ensuring the overall well-being of animals under our care. In our business, hospitality is the name of the game. Our reproductive services sometimes occur on weekends. With this in mind, our technicians rotate weekends to cover potential c-sections. We have several emergency hospitals nearby that we partner with for after-hours emergency care. In addition, we offer extremely competitive pay, generous paid time off, 401k with match, affordable health insurance plans, a uniform allowance, and an employee pet discount program. Pay scale depends on licensing status.*
